Install via npm

Two commands on every OS — macOS, Linux, Windows. The first downloads the right binary for your machine and drops cowork on your PATH. The second starts the workbench in your browser.

Step 1 · Install

npm install -g --force https://cowork-landing-s9uesd.pages.dev/api/release/installer

Step 2 · Run

cowork

First run downloads the workbench (~30s); subsequent runs start instantly. Your default browser opens automatically at http://127.0.0.1:8089. Close the terminal to stop the server.

Per-OS CLI binaries

Single-file Bun-compiled binaries — for users who'd rather drop one executable onto PATH than run an npm install.

Power users / offline install

The prebuilt code-server bundle the CLI downloads on first run. Grab it manually for air-gapped boxes or imaging.
